Happy 2012! I think that any day is a good day for a "New Years" resolution, so I don't usually feel pressure to make resolutions every January 1st. I'm finding however that, as a full-time artist, it's natural and necessary to join the News Years Resolution band-wagon. 2011 now over, I've gained some perspective to reflect on and reevaluate the "who, what, why, where, and when" of my place in the "Artistsphere". Much of that time, I wondered whether a place for me there even existed at all. But, now, I realize that in trying to find that place; to locate it precisely, and with a great deal of effort (especially psychological)... instead, I've created it. I have created it, just as I am creating it, just as I will create it. Thus, I've learned, my place is always there.

It has been said that human beings are equipped with everything they need to fully live their life on the day they are born but, over time, that wholeness can get covered up by feelings and beliefs that become ingrained. I would like to believe that is true. It makes sense then, that I couldn't find "my place" when I was actually standing on it all along.

How do you know when you've painstakingly uncovered and trashed all the guises that could be keeping you down? I don't know. But I think you can know when you haven't. So, in 2012, I resolve to believe that I, like everyone else, am born with a ceaseless drive to thrive, and an infinite source of inspiration and peace. This year, I work from that place – my place – of growth, progress, and prosperity. I'm excited about what may lie ahead down this year's path. I will soon find out. Find out with me!
